MyTVPassport is a personal TV and movie tracking app. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data we collect
MyTVPassport stores all your data locally on your device using your browser's localStorage. This includes:
- Your show and movie list
- Watched episode history
- App settings and preferences
We do not operate servers that store your personal data. Your watch history never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it.
Third-party services
MyTVPassport uses the following third-party services:
- TMDb (The Movie Database) — used to fetch show metadata, episode information, and streaming availability. Requests are proxied through our backend. TMDb's privacy policy applies to these requests.
Cookies and tracking
MyTVPassport does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking. We do not sell your data to any third party.
Data retention
Your data is stored in your browser's localStorage and persists until you clear your browser data or use the Export/Delete features within the app. Uninstalling or clearing the app removes all locally stored data.
Your rights
You have full control over your data:
- Export your data at any time from Settings → Data → Export
- Delete your data by clearing your browser's localStorage for this site
